The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang, onThursday, August 12, 2021, held the 40th Yudisium event for the 2020/2021 academic year. A total of 22 students, consisting of 8 students from the electrical engineering study program, 4 students from the chemical engineering study program and 10 people from the civil engineering study program, were inaugurated as graduates on this special day.
The 40th graduation ceremony and the inauguration of undergraduates were held in the H. Aidil Fitri Syah Hall, 5th Floor, Business and Science Center Building, Universitas PGRI Palembang, which was led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang, Adiguna, ST, M.Si, attended by the Chairperson of YPLP PT PGRI in this case represented by the deputy secretary Mr. Yulman Rosananda, ST., Rector of the University of PGRI Palembang Mr. Dr. H. Bukman Lian, M.M., M.Sc., CiQar., Vice Chancellor III for student affairs, Drs. Sukardi, M.,Pd., representatives from the Dean of FKIP, Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Saints and Technology, representatives of the Director of the Postgraduate Program, the leadership ranks at the Faculty of Engineering, including Vice Deans, Head of Study Programs, Lecturers permanent, all education staff and students. This Judisium activity was carried out while still implementing strict health protocols such as: the use of masks, washing hands, maintaining distance and before entering the room it was mandatory to measure body temperature.
At this graduation, the student with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) was obtained by Try Sutrisno from the electrical engineering study program with a GPA of 3.59 predicate Very Satisfactory.
In his speech the Dean of FT Mr. Adiguna, ST., M.Sc. Congratulations to the graduates of the Faculty of Engineering and Dharma Bakti you have been awaited by your family and society as well as the state, never stop learning because learning resources are not only from lecturers and campuses, but from all problems, difficulties, the surrounding environment, are also a source of learning for your success. Love the alma mater of the UPGRIP Faculty of Engineering because the power of love from alumni spread across various regions is our capital and passion to build the UPGRIP Faculty of Engineering in a direction that is superior, competitive and has character in the development of science and technology.
“Prepare yourself to be better and be able to win the competition globally. We at the engineering faculty always give our best to produce good output as well. In addition, the quality culture must be prioritized so that it can form the mentality of steel and people who have noble integrity in the era of global competition,” said Adiguna. In line with that, the Chancellor, Dr. H. Bukman Lian, M.M., M.Sc., CiQar., in his remarks said, “The skills that students get from college are only partly obtained from the environment outside the campus. For that, it is hoped that alumni will always study wherever they are. Thank you and congratulations to the alumni, I hope the engineering faculty will be more successful in the future.”
Meanwhile, Yulman Rosananda, ST in his speech said, “so that the alumni can take part and make the engineering faculty proud in the outside world, congratulations and success to the alumni”.
