On Thursday, January 27, 2022, PGRI University Palembang and SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih established a partnership that was stated in a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Located in the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering, the Chancellor of the University of PGRI Palembang, Dr. H. Bukman Lian, M.M., M.Si., CIQaR, in this case represented by Dr. Yasir Arafat, S.E., M.M., CIQaR and Hj. Siti Dahlia S.Pd., M.Si as the Principal of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih has signed a memorandum of understanding between the two parties.
The MoU event was attended by Vice Chancellors I and II Dr. Yasir Arafat, S.E., M.M., CIQaR, Vice Chancellor III Drs. Sukardi, M.Pd., the leadership of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang and the leadership of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih. In his speech Hj. Siti Dahlia S.Pd., M.Si expressed her highest appreciation to the University of PGRI Palembang for the implementation of this memorandum of understanding. “Thank you to the University of PGRI Palembang for choosing our school to work with. This is a good opportunity for us and it is hoped that SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih can synergize well with PGRI Palembang University both in improving learning, research and making it easier for students to study at PGRI Palembang University. Hopefully with the MoU we can all benefit.” Meanwhile Dr. Yasir Arafat, S.E., M.M., CIQaR said, after the MoU, Universitas PGRI Palembang will be ready to help improve the competence of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih.” PGRI Palembang University will provide assistance to SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih, both regarding the existing facilities and the required experts according to the agreement”.
After the MoU, apart from discussion and hospitality, the Principal of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih and his staff and accompanied by the leadership of the University of PGRI Palembang and the leadership of the Faculty of Engineering had the opportunity to see the facilities at the University of PGRI Palembang.
