Sempro or seminar proposals become an inseparable part of the process of preparing theses, theses, and dissertations. The scientific work is a mandatory requirement for completing lectures, so it must be prepared properly and correctly. What is meant by sempro is the submission of a research plan that is presented to the supervisor and examiner for evaluation. The aim is to assist students in preparing thesis so that the research direction is correct, identify research topics, formulate hypotheses, understand research background, develop or adapt appropriate methods.

The Faculty of Engineering, Electrical Engineering Study Program, Universitas PGRI Palembang, on Wednesday (8/03/2022) the even semester of the academic year 2021/2022 held a Thesis Proposal Seminar which was held in the Lecturer Room of the Faculty of Engineering, Building D, 1st Floor, Universitas PGRI Palembang.

Coordination Meeting of the Dean Selection Committee of the Faculty of Engineering

he selection committee for the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang for the 2022-2025 term of service began the series of Dean elections by holding a committee coordination meeting on Friday (04/03/2022) at the FT Hall, 1st floor of building D, PGRI Palembang University.

The meeting was attended and chaired by the Deputy Dean of FT Aan Sefentry, S.T., M.T., Head of the Committee Sri Mulyati, S.T., M.Pd and the entire Dean selection committee.
During the meeting, it was agreed that the schedule for a series of activities to be carried out in the Dean election was agreed, including:
o Announcement of registration of candidates for dean
o Selection of candidates for dean
o Selection and Announcement of Dean candidates
o Dean candidate presentation/exposure
o Candidate selection
o Nomination of selected candidates

It is hoped that with the initial meeting of the selection committee for the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, they can synergize with each other in carrying out their respective duties so that all stages of the selection can be carried out according to a predetermined schedule.

Make Achievements at POMDA 2021, Athletes from the Faculty of Engineering Chemical Engineering Study Program UPGRIP take home 1 Medal

Athlete from the Faculty of Engineering, Chemical Engineering Study Program, Ary Wicakhyanto, who represented the University of PGRI Palembang, made his achievements. This time, they brought the 3rd place winner of the “Male Class I Competition” in the Pencak silat sport in the Regional Student Sports Week (POMDA) at the South Sumatra level which was held at UIN Raden Fatah Palembang.

The XVII POMDA which was held at the Academic Center of UIN Raden Fatah Palembang on 19 s.d. 21 June 20 was attended by at least 21 universities in South Sumatra. The POMDA itself was held with the aim of preparing athletes to go to POMNAS in November 2022 in West Sumatra.

Behind the achievements that are often inscribed, of course, cannot be separated from their enthusiasm and hard work (athletes and team officials) to always provide the best for the institution, in this case the University of PGRI Palembang (UPGRIP). In the future, hopefully the UPGRIP pencak silat athletes will be more successful and can make the name of the institution proud on the national and international stage.

41st Judiciary and Inauguration of Undergraduate S-1 Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang Academic Year 2021/2022

The Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang, on Thursday, February 24, 2022, held the 41st Yudisium event for the 2021/2022 academic year. A total of 16 (sixteen) students, consisting of 8 (eight) electrical engineering study programs, 5 (five) chemical engineering study programs and 3 (three) civil engineering study programs, have been inaugurated as graduates on this special day.

The 41st graduation ceremony and undergraduate inauguration were held in the H. Usman Majid Hall, 5th Floor, PGRI Palembang University Library Building, led directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, PGRI Palembang University Adiguna, ST, M.Si, attended by the Chairperson of YPLP PT PGRI in this case represented by the vice chairman Drs. H. Lukman Haris, M.Sc., Rector of the University of PGRI Palembang, Mr. Dr. H. Bukman Lian, M.M., M.Sc., CiQar., Deputy Chancellors I and II Dr. Yasir Arafat, S.E., M.M., representative of the Dean of FKIP, Plt. Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Business, Dean of the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Affairs, representatives of the Dean of the Faculty of Saint and Technology, Head of Libraries, Head of BPAAM, leadership ranks at the Faculty of Engineering, including Vice Deans, Head of Study Programs, permanent lecturers, all education staff and students. At this graduation, there were 2 (two) students with honors with honors/cumlaude. The student with the highest Grade Point Average (GPA) was obtained by Jaya Saputra from the electrical engineering study program with a GPA of 3.75 with the thesis title “Design of Automatic Gate Control using Arduino Uno-Based Fingerprint Sensor” with supervisor Abdul Aziz, S.T., M.T. and Nita Nurdiana S.T., M.T. and Dicky Wahyudi with a GPA of 3.70 with the thesis title “Overview of the Network System in Beringin Agung Village, Muara Sugihan Banyuasin district” under direct supervision by the Dean Adiguna, S.T., M.Si. and Herri Purwanto S.T., MT.

Meeting of Faculty of Engineering UPGRIP Even Semester Academic Year 2021-2022

As a first step in entering the Even Semester of the 2021/2022 Academic Year which will start on Tuesday, March 2, 2022, the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang held a lecturer meeting on Tuesday, February 22, 2022. The meeting was held in the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering, 1st floor of Building D, University PGRI Palembang is a routine agenda that is held every time entering a new semester. All lecturers are required to attend this meeting. This lecturer meeting was chaired and opened directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mr. Adiguna, ST., M.Sc., the Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Mr. Aan Sefentry, ST., MT, all Heads of Study Programs and Permanent Lecturers of the Foundation (DTY) from three Study Programs, Head of the Division . The Faculty of Engineering is currently using the Online Academic Information System (SISFO) to provide convenience to users (lecturers and students) in online campus academic administration activities such as making class schedules, filling out study plan cards (KRS), paying Student Tuition Fees (UKM). ), filling in grades, processing data for lecturers and students and so on using only mobile phones. This system can also function as a support for data analysis in determining campus decisions.

Election of Members of the Interim Official Senate (PAW) Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang, 2018-2022 Period

The Senate is the highest normative and representative body within the University of PGRI Palembang. As a normative body, the senate has the authority to formulate or determine policies, regulations, and provisions that are binding on other bodies in charge of implementing these stipulations at the University and/or Faculty level within the University of PGRI Palembang.

Considering the importance of the authority of the senate, the Faculty of Engineering held the selection of the Candidate for the Fantar Time Senate in the field of Faculty of Permanent Lecturers for the Study Program period 2018-2022 on Monday (21/02/2022) located in the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering on the 1st floor of Building D, PGRI University Palembang. Attended by 24 people consisting of the Dean, Deputy Dean, Head of Study Programs and Lecturers in the Faculty of Engineering as well as the Chair and Secretary of the selection committee.

The event started with an accountability report from the head of the election committee Sri Mulyati, S.T., M.Pd, then continued with remarks from the Dean of the Adiguna Engineering Faculty, S.T., M.T providing an explanation of the mechanism or stages to be carried out in the interim election of senate officials. “Senate candidates who are selected must meet the criteria and hopefully the election goes according to the statutes that have been set.

Coordination Meeting for the Election of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering 2022-2025

The Senate Meeting of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang was held on Wednesday (9/2/2022) at the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering, 1st floor of Building D, Universitas PGRI Palembang, attended and led by the Chairperson of the Senate of the Faculty of Engineering Adiguna, ST, M.Si and all members of the Senate. Signing of Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering with SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih and Community Service (PPM) Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang with the theme “Workshop on the Introduction of Safe Home Electrical Installations According to PUIL Standards”

On Thursday, February 3, 2022, the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang and SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih established a collaboration that was stated in a memorandum of agreement or Memorandum of Agreement (MoA). Located in the Hall of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih, the Head of the Electrical Engineering Study Program Emidiana, S.T., M.T and Hj. Siti Dahlia, S.Pd., M.Si as the Principal of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih has signed a memorandum of understanding between the two parties. In addition to the MoA on this occasion, the Electrical Engineering Study Program carried out Community Service (PPM).

The MoA event was attended by the leadership, managers and students of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih, lecturers of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang. In carrying out household-scale electrical installations, we must not be careless, sometimes people do electrical installations that are not in accordance with the standards set by PLN. For example, in connecting electrical installations, people often just connect, namely using the type of cable that is not in accordance with the amount of electric current delivered by the cable, the use of sockets that are piled up, causing excessive heat and can melt the insulator from the socket even up to cause a fire. Therefore, the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang wants to provide students with knowledge about electrical installations according to the standards set by the government.

Led by the Head of Electrical Engineering Study Program Emidiana, S.T., M.T with members: 1. Ir. Saleh Al Amin, MT, 2. Nita Nurdiana, ST., MT, 3. Irine Kartika P, ST, MT, 4. Abdul Aziz, ST., MT, 5. Yudi Irwansi, ST, MT, 6. Nurse ST, MT provides explanations to teachers, managers and students of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih about the types, forms and uses of electrical-related tools. Then the Lecturer of the Electrical Engineering Study Program also provides knowledge and practice regarding the procedure for installing electrical equipment, providing an explanation of good and correct electricity usage as well as good and safe household-scale electrical installation procedures so as not to cause a fire hazard in accordance with the standards of the General Installation Regulations Electricity.

The purpose of this PPM activity is to provide knowledge and skills for the community, especially students and managers of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih in making simple safe electrical network installations and providing knowledge about ways to save electricity use. Community Service Activities were closed with discussions and filling out questionnaires by students of SMA Negeri 8 Prabumulih.
