One of the obligations of lecturers to contribute is community service, community service is an element of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. Community service can be interpreted as the process of implementing or applying the technology and knowledge possessed by lecturers to the community against the background of various problems that exist in society. Community service activities are intended to provide solutions to real problems that occur in the community.
The Chemical Engineering Study Program at the University of PGRI Palembang on Tuesday, January 4, 2022, in the lecturer room of the Faculty of Engineering, held an internal meeting. The meeting was attended by the Head of Chemical Engineering Study Program, Muhrinsyah Patimura, M.T., Head of the Chemical Engineering laboratory, Rully Masriatini, S.T., M.T and lecturers. What was discussed at the meeting was the implementation of community service independently which would be carried out. In addition to discussing the implementation time, the meeting also discussed the theme, the intended target community and the desired outcome from the implementation of the community service.
