On Saturday, April 16, 2022, the University of PGRI Palembang and the Indonesian Engineers Association (PII) agreed to establish a partnership that was stated in a memorandum of understanding (MoU). Located in the hall of the Indo Global Mandiri University. Rector of the University of PGRI Palembang, Dr. H. Bukman Lian, M.M., M.Sc., CIQaR and Ir. Erna Yuliwati, M.T., Ph.D., IPM as Chair of PII Palembang City has signed a memorandum of understanding between the two parties. The Dean of the Adiguna Engineering Faculty, S.T., M.Si, the Heads of Study Programs and lecturers at the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang participated by being present in person at the signing of the MoU.
Hopefully this collaboration will provide benefits for both parties, to improve the Engineer profession so that it is able to make a meaningful contribution to the improvement and development of competence and professionalism of human resources in Indonesia.
In addition to the MoU, on this occasion a Professional Certification Workshop was also held which was held in a cloudX meeting zoom. Workshop with resource person Ir. Wahyu Hendrastomo. M.M., MPU as Director of the PII Engineer Competency Certification Institute (LSKI) aims to encourage all practitioners in the field of Engineering Practice to immediately obtain accelerated STRI and professional certification, so that they can legally practice engineering.
