Community Service (PPM) Lecturer of Civil Engineering Study Program: “Socialization of Clean Water Filter System with Slow Sand Filter Method” Air Itam Village, Jejawi District OKI

Water is a primary need for humans, but along with the increasing human population, the need for more clean water is increasing. Until now, the provision of clean water has a greater challenge because of the increasingly complex and varied water problems, both in terms of quantity and quality. Another challenge is the change in water demand, both in terms of quality for health and in terms of operating requirements of a particular process (eg industrial processes). With the development of technology, various methods and techniques of water treatment are needed which are considered appropriate, effective and economical. The provision of clean water can be applied with large-scale technology or simple technology that is individual treatment, which technically does not require high costs, the raw materials are easy to obtain and everyone can apply them.

Led by team leader Herri Purwanto, S.T., M.T., IPM with members: 1. Amiwarti, S.T., M.T., 2, Dr. M. Firdaus, S.T., M.T., 3. Adiguna, S.T., M.Sc., 4. Syahril Alzahri, S.T., M.T., 5. Agus Setiobudi, S.T., M.Si., 6. Reffanda Kurniawan, S.T., M.M., with carrying the theme “Socialization of the Clean Water Filter System with the Slow Sand Filter Method”, Lecturers of the Faculty of Engineering of the Civil Engineering Study Program have carried out Community Service (PPM) in the form of giving presentations and introductions to slow filter water treatment equipment using tools designed by the Program lecturers themselves. Civil Engineering Studies, this tool can process the turbidity of river water into clear and clean water. The Implementation of Community Service in Air Itam Village, Jejawi Subdistrict OKI on Thursday, November 17, 2022.
