Implementation of the Thesis Session of the Civil Engineering Study Program, University of PGRI Palembang Even Semester Academic Year 2022/2023

Thesis is a scientific work that must be written by students as part of one of the requirements to obtain a bachelor’s degree. And to test the truth of the thesis material, it is necessary to hold a comprehensive thesis session or trial. Students who are allowed to take part in this thesis trial are students who have fulfilled various administrative requirements. In addition, the student has completed all courses as one of the requirements that must be taken. The thesis session itself has the meaning of being an effort to find out the ability of students to understand and develop lecture materials that are in accordance with the scientific field of the study program, by presenting student thesis in front of the examining lecturer. This is done to determine whether they deserve a bachelor of engineering degree (ST). While the purpose of holding a thesis trial or comprehensive trial is to assess students’ insights, abilities and academic depth, assess students’ reasoning and analytical abilities and assess students’ ability to develop theories that are in accordance with the scientific disciplines of the study program.

On Thursday (13/07/2023) the Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Study Program held a thesis session which took place in the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering Building D, Floor 2, PGRI Palembang University, on Wednesday it was attended by 8 (eight) participants, along with the names of students who attended the thesis trial: 1. Bilal Habillah, 2. Delvia Selennatika, 3. Fitrahul Qolby, 4. Sela Eriani, 5. Riski Al Afis, 6. Fery Firnando, 7. Guntur Gunawan, 8. Abdullah. Names of examiners: 1. Ir. After going through several thesis trial sessions, students who have carried out the thesis trial and are declared to have passed are entitled to take part in the judiciary.
