The Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang, on Monday, March 28, 2022, located in Room 406 of the BSC Building, 4th Floor, held the Dean Election for the term of 2022-2027, attended by the Chairperson of BPH PB PGRI at PGRI Palembang University in this case represented by Yulman Rosananda, S.T who also as the supervisor of the Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang, Rector of the University of PGRI Palembang, Dr. H. Bukman Lian, M.M., M.Sc., CIQaR, members of the senate and all committees and managers of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang.
In his speech Dr. H. Bukman Lian, M.M., M.Sc., CIQaR said “Let’s make new innovations by collaborating, and making breakthroughs to prepare these steps to be in line in advancing the Institute. As one of the universities whose development is fairly rapid, there must be a leader who is able to lead, so that it can continue to accelerate and become a proud private university in South Sumatra”.
Meanwhile, Yulman Rosananda, ST said, “Congratulations on carrying out a democratic election. After the election of the Dean, they must reunite, hopefully the elected Dean will bring fresh air to the Faculty of Engineering. Look for people who have the ability and will.”
The election of the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang which was held in a Closed Senate Meeting to choose one of the two Dean candidates, namely (1) Adiguna, S.T., M.Si, (2) Amiwarti, S.T., M.T. The Closed Senate Meeting was opened by the Chairperson of the Session Aan Sefentry, S.T., M.T with the agenda of selecting the candidate with the most votes who would then be appointed as the elected Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang.
This Closed Senate Meeting was attended by 6 members of the Senate of the Faculty of Engineering from a total of 6 members of the Senate. The selection of Dean candidates was also attended by the Rector of the University of PGRI Palembang, Dr. H. Bukman Lian, M.M., M.Sc., CIQaR and the Head of BPH PB PGRI at PGRI Palembang University in this case represented by Yulman Rosananda, S.T.
The election of the Dean candidate is carried out directly. The Chancellor has 30% (thirty percent) of the voting rights of the total voters present and the Senate has 70% (seventy percent) of the voting rights and each member of the Senate has the same voting rights. The selection of Dean candidates resulted in the following votes:
1. Adiguna, S.T., M.Si got 2 votes
2. Amiwarti, S.T., M.T got 7 votes
Based on the results of the election, the Senate determined that the candidate for Dean Amiwarti, S.T., M.T received the highest vote and was elected as the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang which was stated in the minutes which were signed by the members of the Senate, the candidate for Dean and witnesses for which the minutes were submitted to the Chancellor. PGRI Palembang University to be appointed and inaugurated.
After all the processions were completed, the Closed Senate Meeting was officially closed by the Chairperson of the Session, Aan Sefentry, S.T., M.T with a knock on the hammer marking the end of all the election events that went well and smoothly. Furthermore, the Elected Dean gave a speech, then continued with a group photo event which was attended by the Senate of the Faculty of Engineering, the Elected Dean, the Chair of the Dean Appointment Committee, the Secretary of the Dean Appointment Committee and the entire Dean selection committee.
