The Beauty of Sharing in the Month of Ramadan, BEM Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang Share Takjil and Mask
In the midst of a pandemic that has not yet ended, it did not dampen the enthusiasm of the students of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang to create a sense of love, mutual help, a sense of mutual concern for students to the wider community who are in need of a helping hand.
Saturday, April 3, 2021, the Student Executive Board (BEM) of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang carried out positive activities in the month of Ramadan this year. That is by carrying out activities for takjil as well as for masks to people in need. Wahyu Dwi Nanda as chairman of BEM said, “This activity is expected to help the surrounding community who are being hit by an economic crisis in the midst of a pandemic. In addition, we carry out this activity in order to increase social sense and empathy for each BEM administrator of the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang”. Some of the boxed rice that was distributed quickly ran out, because all the BEM administrators who were present participated in the distribution of takjil and masks with great enthusiasm. A total of 100 rice boxes and masks were distributed in just a short time. The distribution of takjil was carried out on the street around the Palembang PGRI University Campus What’s interesting about this activity is that the funds used are the personal money of each BEM administrator and donor. The BEM administrators are sincerely asked for funds to make the BEM agenda a success and enliven this Ramadan. There is no compulsion in withdrawing these funds, they compete to donate a little the rupiah he has, even they feel happy to be able to share a little happiness and spread kindness to the surrounding community. Activities that deal directly with the general public continue to run according to the health protocols recommended by the government, namely by bringing personal masks and keeping yourself from coming into direct contact with the public and washing hands/cleaning hands with hand sanitizer.
The purpose of carrying out the distribution of takjil and masks is to increase gratitude to Allah SWT for all the pleasures that are still given the opportunity to share and carry out fasting worship and strengthen the relationship between the BEM of the Faculty of Engineering and the surrounding community, besides that this also aims to introduce the Faculty of Engineering to the general public.
