Seminar Kenakalan Remaja Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Universitas PGRI Palembang

Remaja merupakan aset masa depan suatu bangsa, akan tetapi tantangan menjadi remaja cukup banyak dan seringkali tidak mampu diprediksi. Di samping hal-hal yang menggembirakan dengan bermacam kegiatan positif remaja, kita melihat pula arus kemorosotan moral yang semakin melanda di kalangan sebagian pemuda-pemudi kita, atau yang dikenal dengan sebutan kenakalan remaja.

Banyak faktor yang mempengaruhi kenakalan remaja antara lain berasal dari pola asuh orang tua dan juga faktor lingkungan yang menjadikan remaja melakukan kenakalan remaja. Oleh karena itu masalah kenakalan remaja seyogyanya mendapatkan perhatian yang serius dan terfokus untuk mengarahkan remaja ke arah yang lebih positif, yang titik beratnya untuk terciptanya suatu sistem dalam menanggulangi kenakalan di kalangan remaja.

Guna memberikan tambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan kepada mahasiswa tentang kenakalan remaja dan tindakan yang perlu dilakukan untuk mencegah serta mengatasinya, Badan Eksekutif  Mahasiswa Fakultas Teknik Universitas PGRI Palembang (UPGRIP)menyelenggarakan seminar dengan tema “Mengatasi Kenakalan RemajaDemi Mewujudkan Generasi yang Berintelektual” yang dilaksanakan pada hari Senin (18/12/2023) di Aula Drs. H. Aidil Fitri Syah, M.M lantai 5 Gedung BSC UPGRIP.

Rangkaian acara seminar dipandu oleh moderator yaitu Nur Muhammad Habibillah, kemudian dilanjutkan pembawaan materi yang luar biasa oleh narasumber yaitu IPDA Benny Mandagje dari Panit 3 Subdit III Dit. Intelkam Polda Sumsel, Rika Efianti, S.E., M.M., Kadis. Kominfo. Prov. Sumsel dan Marwan Hidayat, S.E Penyuluh Narkoba BNN Prov. Sumsel. Acara seminar berlangsung dengan penuh semangat karena peserta sangat antusias dengan ilmu yang disampaikan pemateri.

Pemateri memberikan interaksi ramah dan menarik kepada peserta, baik memberikan pemahaman secara teori maupun berdasarkan kejadian-kejadian nyata. Semoga dengan adanya tambahan wawasan dan pengetahuan yang diberikan oleh ketiga narasumber, dapat memberikan manfaat yang luar biasa bagi mahasiswa yang hadir pada acara seminar tersebut. 

Dosen FT Ikuti Seminar Program Studi Pendidikan Profesi Insinyur Universitas Atma Jaya

Dalam lingkungan pendidikan yang kompetitif, dosen dituntut untuk memiliki kualifikasi tambahan seperti profesi insinyur. Profesi insinyur dapat memberikan keunggulan dalam kompetisi untuk posisi akademik atau penelitian serta membantu memperkuat citra institusi sebagai tempat pendidikan tinggi.

Program Profesi Insinyur (PPI) adalah program pendidikan lanjutan yang dirancang untuk mengembangkan kompetensi praktis dan profesional bagi para lulusan sarjana teknik agar siap untuk berpraktik secara profesional sebagai insinyur di dunia industri atau praktek teknik. Untuk memperoleh gelar profesi Insinyur, seseorang harus lulus dari Program Profesi Insinyur yang diselenggarakan oleh Perguruan Tinggi yang bekerjasama dengan kementerian terkait dan Persatuan Insinyur Indonesia.

Program Studi Pendidikan Profesi Insinyur Universitas Katolik Indonesia Atma Jaya Jakarta pada hari Sabtu (2/12/2023) melaksanakan Seminar PPI semester ganjil TA. 2023/2024 yang di selenggarakan secara daring. Dengan mengikuti seminar tersebut akan menentukan berhak atau tidaknya seorang dosen untuk mendapatkan gelar profesi insinyur. Adapun tujuan dari Program Profesi Insinyur adalah untuk mempersiapkan insinyur dengan pemahaman yang mendalam tentang aspek praktis dalam bidang teknik, etika profesi, keberlanjutan, regulasi, dan keterampilan komunikasi yang diperlukan dalam lingkungan kerja.

Visit of SMA Negeri 1 Batanghari Leko, Musi Banyuasin Regency to PGRI University Palembang

The lack of knowledge about the world of lectures and existing study programs often causes students to be confused in choosing an existing major. To bridge this issue, PGRI Palembang University, which is one of the favorite universities in Palembang City, on Wednesday, December 29, 2021, received a visit from students and teachers of SMA Negeri Batanghari Leko, Musi Banyuasin Regency. The students, who were mostly in grade 12, visited PGRI Palembang University in order to get to know more about the world of lectures and the study programs in it.

This school visit is an event to further introduce the campus environment that they will travel in the future. This visit was filled with a tour around the facilities and infrastructure owned by PGRI Palembang University. One of them visited the workshop/laboratory of the Faculty of Engineering, which on this occasion was received directly by the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering. Adiguna S.T., M.Si, Deputy Dean of FT. Aan Sefentry, S.T., M.Si and the Head of the FT Laboratory.

The students looked enthusiastic, this was proven by their listening to the explanation from Mr. Aan Sefentry, S.T., M.T., Agus Setiobudi. S.T., M.Si and Ir. Agus Wahyudi, M.M carefully and asked a lot of questions about the usability function and workings of the tools exhibited at the Faculty of Engineering workshop. It is hoped that this can be a reference and attraction for students to continue to higher education, especially the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas PGRI Palembang after graduation.

The event closed with a general explanation about the campus and existing study programs as well as a question and answer session between the Batanghari Leko Public High School, Musi Banyuasin Regency and the leadership of the Palembang PGRI University which was held in room 406 on the 4th floor of the Business and Science Center Building, hopefully this event can provide information about the world lectures and open the minds of students present to determine the study program according to their interests and talents

The signing of the MoU at PGRI Palembang University and Community Service (PKM) Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, PGRI Palembang University with the theme “Socialization of Laboratory K3 at SMA Meranti Pedamaran Kab. OKI”

On November 16, 2021 Located in the OKI Meranti Pedamaran High School classroom, the PGRI Palembang University and the OKI Meranti Pedamaran High School established a collaboration as stated in the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). Rector of the University of PGRI Palembang, Dr. H. Bukman Lian, MM, M.Sc., CIQaR, in this case represented by Adiguna, ST, M.Si who is also the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Suptryadi, S.Pd as the Principal of SMA Meranti Pedamaran OKI has signed a memorandum of understanding between the two sides. The MoU event, which was moderated by Nita Nurdiana, S.T., M.T, was attended by foundation coaches, leaders, staff and students of OKI Meranti Pedamaran High School, Head of Electrical Engineering Study Program Emidiana, S.T., M.T and Lecturers of Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang.

In his speech, the Principal of SMA Meranti Pedamaran OKI Suptryadi, S.Pd expressed his highest appreciation to the University of PGRI Palembang for the implementation of this memorandum of understanding. “This is a good opportunity for us and it is hoped that SMA Meranti Pedamaran OKI can synergize well with PGRI Palembang University both in improving learning, research and making students easy to study at PGRI Palembang University. Hopefully with the MoU we can all benefit.” This is in line with the remarks from the founder of the foundation, Mr. Suparna. Meanwhile, Adiguna, S.T., M.Si in his speech gave an explanation of what faculties and study programs exist at PGRI Palembang University and the advantages gained by the MoU. Adiguna, ST, M.Si said “after the MoU PGRI Palembang University will be ready to help improve the competence of OKI Meranti Pedamaran High School, PGRI Palembang University will provide assistance to OKI Meranti Pedamaran High School both regarding existing facilities and the required experts according to the agreement” .

After the signing of the MoU, the event continued with the implementation of Community Service (PKM) of the Electrical Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering with the theme of laboratory K3 socialization. Led by the Head of Electrical Engineering Study Program Emidiana, S.T., M.T with members: 1. Ir. Saleh Al Amin, MT, 2. Abdul Aziz, ST, MT, 3. Yudi Irwansi, ST, MT, 4. Nita Nurdiana, ST, MT, 5. Perawati, ST, MT, 6. Irene Kartika P, ST, MT by providing material exposure to teachers, managers and students regarding the importance of knowledge about occupational safety and health in the laboratory.

Appearing in the first session, Irene Kartika P, S.T., M.T gave material on: Understanding Laboratory K3, then Perawati, S.T., M.T., gave material: Laboratory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Yudi Irwansi, S.T., M.T appeared as the third speaker by delivering material on: Work Accidents in the Laboratory. The implementation of the PKM was closed with a discussion and a questionnaire.

With this counseling and training, it is hoped that it can provide knowledge to students, managers and teachers at Meranti High School regarding what steps or stages must be taken in terms of implementing occupational safety and health in the laboratory if something unexpected happens.

The scientific work is a mandatory requirement for completing lectures, so it must be prepared properly and correctly. What is meant by sempro is the submission of a research plan that is presented to the supervisor and examiner for evaluation. The aim is to assist students in preparing thesis so that the research direction is correct, identify research topics, formulate hypotheses, understand research background, develop or adjust appropriate methods.

The Faculty of Engineering, Civil Engineering Study Program, Universitas PGRI Palembang, on Tuesday, November 13, 2021, the odd semester of the academic year 2021/2022, held a Thesis Proposal Seminar which was held in the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering, Building D, 1st Floor, Universitas PGRI Palembang.

Participation of Faculty of Engineering Lecturers in Monev KKN TA. 2021

Real work lectures (KKN) are one form of community service activities by universities carried out by students under the guidance of lecturers and local government leaders. The definition of community service is the scientific and institutionalized practice of science, technology and art by higher education institutions directly to the community. This is in accordance with the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, because in KKN it combines the Dharma of education and teaching, research and community service. While Field Work Lectures (KKL) are learning activities carried out by students to add insight and get real experience from agencies, institutions or organizations related to the student’s discipline.

Lecturers of the Adiguna Engineering Faculty, S.T., M.Si in the capacity of monitoring team at PGRI Palembang University, for two days, Tuesday-Wednesday, November 10 and 11, 2021, carried out monitoring of KKN for students at PGRI Palembang University in Lahat Regency and Pagar Alam City. On the first day, the areas visited were Manggul Village and Cecar Village, Lahat Regency, followed by a visit to the Kesbangpol Office of Pagar Alam City on the second day.

The purpose of this monitoring is to: find errors as early as possible so as to reduce greater risks. provide solutions to students in resolving any obstacles faced by students at KKN locations, checking the implementation of student work programs, both individual and group work programs, controlling whether the policies being implemented are in accordance with the goals and objectives, as well as modifying policies if the results of monitoring require for it.

Thesis Writing Workshop, Faculty of Engineering TA. 2021-2022

In an effort to improve the quality of good and correct student thesis writing, the Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang held a TA Thesis Writing Workshop. 2021-2022. On this occasion, the Faculty of Engineering presented four speakers, namely Adiguna, S.T., M.Sc., Amiwarti, S.T., M.T., Emidiana, S.T., M.T., and Muhrinsyah Fatimura, S.T., M.T. The workshop was held in the Hall of the Faculty of Engineering, Building D, 1st floor, PGRI University Palembang, Friday, November 6, 2021 and took place from 09.00 WIB. This event took place by prioritizing the health protocols set by the government. The workshop was implemented using a Hybrid system and as many as 18 students attended the event, which was held both offline and online.

The activity, which was moderated by Rully Masriatini, S.T., M.T, began with the accountability report of the chairman of the workshop committee, Mr. Aan Sefentry, S.T., M.T, then continued with remarks from the Dean of the Adiguna Engineering Faculty, S.T., M.Si who also opened the workshop. In his remarks, Adiguna, S.T., M.Si expressed his extraordinary appreciation for the implementation of this activity. “Thank you to all the academics of the engineering faculty, especially the executive committee for holding this activity in order to improve the quality of the faculty. With this workshop, students have standards in carrying out thesis writing. and this workshop was able to increase the knowledge, quality, behavior and abilities of engineering faculty students. It is hoped that students who take part in this workshop will produce better thesis writing than before.”

Appearing as the first resource person, Adiguna, S.T., M.Si presented material on the Academic Policy of the Faculty of Engineering. Then Amiwarti, S.T., M.T appeared as the second resource person with material on Procedures and Requirements for Student Thesis Activities. Followed by the third speaker Muhrinsyah Fatimura, S.T., M.T with material on Citation, Format and Submit Journal. After a break, the event resumed, appearing as the fourth resource person Emidiana, S.T., M.T with material on Thesis Writing Format.

The purpose and objectives of this activity are, among others, to provide thesis writing training to students of the Faculty of Engineering, University of PGRI Palembang in order to have knowledge and understanding of how to write a thesis properly and correctly, to provide students with the ability and skills to write thesis in accordance with established rules or guidelines. at the Faculty of Engineering.
